Report Filed with Police Regarding Assault on Arthur Chakhoyan; 1 Person Arrested

Activist Arthur Chakhoyan has been assaulted, and a report has been filed with the police. This was announced by the spokesperson for the Minister of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, in a conversation with an Armenpress correspondent.

“A report about physical violence has been received by the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Officers from the Nor Nork community police division have arrested one person. Measures are being taken to identify other participants in the incident,” Sargsyan said.

Earlier, Mesrop Manukyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the “Mother Armenia” faction, wrote on his Facebook page that a group of individuals organized a coordinated attack on Arthur Chakhoyan, beat him, and stole his phone.
