Marta Koš on the Peace Settlement Process Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

The progress in the peace settlement process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is transforming the region, stated EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Koš during a ministerial meeting on regional security and connectivity held in Luxembourg.

Koš noted that for the first time in decades, a real opportunity is emerging to open trade and transport routes connecting Europe and Asia. She emphasized that the establishment of interconnected infrastructure will provide countries with greater freedom and opportunities for trade, selection of energy sources, and data transfer, while reinforcing long-term stability and prosperity in the South Caucasus.
