Serzh Sargsyan Does Not Recall Rejecting Military Assistance Agreement Between Artsakh and Armenia: Babajanyan

Independent MP Arman Babajanyan has made a statement.

“SS has forgotten how he personally allowed the image of Mount Ararat to be removed from the logo of the Football Federation of Armenia and the national team’s jerseys before the 2008 football match against Turkey in order to please the Turks. SS has forgotten that he personally agreed to sign a protocol with Turkey that puts the reality of the Armenian Genocide into question. According to the protocol, this issue was to be resolved by historians composed of Armenian and Turkish scholars.

SS has forgotten that after taking office in 2013 and receiving positive evaluations from the West, our country abandoned an important development direction—the possibility of association with the EU—under the pretext of introducing additional security measures for Armenia.

SS has forgotten the murder of the entire Avetisyan family during his term, Electric Yerevan, the signing of gas contracts under disgraceful conditions, the uprising of the Sasna Tsrer, the tensions in 2014, the April War in 2016, and so on.

SS does not remember that in 2016, he not only refused to recognize the independence of Artsakh but also rejected signing a military assistance agreement between Artsakh and Armenia that same year.

SS has forgotten that he came to power on blood—following the falsified elections after March 1—after which all national elections in 2012, 2013, the constitutional referendum in 2015, and the parliamentary elections in 2017 were conducted with violence, violations, an assassination attempt on one of the candidates in 2013, and more.

Of course, SS could not foresee the revolution, but this person did nothing to prevent it. To be continued.”
