Our People’s Cyclicality Will Drive Us Crazy: We Only Know History at the Level of Survival - Pashinyan

We only know history at the level of survival; we do not know our people's history. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“After going through those disasters, you might say, ‘Let me see which page the lessons of history are written on.’ You say, ‘History, where is your lesson? What is your lesson?’ It says, ‘Don’t go, don’t repeat me, can you not repeat? Enough is enough.’ The cyclicality of our people is something that will drive us crazy – the same thing over and over again, constantly the same thing. It says, ‘Can you read? Learn.’

The dialogue with historical Armenia is the result of Current Armenia; when I say Historical Armenia, I ask, ‘So what should we do now, what is your lesson?’ It says, ‘Don’t go my way; you have a state; now this specific Republic of Current Armenia, you all are going on the path of historical-making. Historical Armenia says, ‘Do not try to merge this Armenia with me; rather focus on the interests of that state, feel happy, not unhappy, by looking at ‘Oh, is this our homeland, is it this much?’” Pashinyan said during the “Fourth Republic” program.
