Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan wrote on Facebook: "The Mother See confirmed that the recording is real. Well, should we throw the 1700-year-old sacred structure at Kocharian and a Russian businessman’s feet as political capital? For what purpose? The Armenian Apostolic Church must be defended from Ktrich Nersisyan. His anti-church campaign must stop. The defector must leave."
