Implementation of TRIPP Project Will Stimulate Economic Growth, Says Deputy Foreign Minister

“The implementation of the TRIPP project will serve as a catalyst for economic growth, dialogue, and communication between people,” said Robert Abisoghomonyan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, at the 19th ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement in Kampala.

“In the current geopolitical situation, where multilateral cooperation has been disrupted, mutual trust between states has diminished, and international law faces challenges, Armenia is convinced that international platforms must unite efforts to provide timely and adequate responses. We must be decisive against the use of force and any actions that violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

We firmly believe that the full unblocking of transport routes will reveal the extensive transit and trade potential of the region. Furthermore, the implementation of the ‘Crossroad of Peace’ initiative and the TRIPP project, which is part of it, will contribute to economic growth, dialogue, and communication between people, fostering broader stability and prosperity.

These initiatives reflect Armenia’s vision of transforming our region into a bridge of cultures and markets, based on peace and cooperation. We expect the support of the Non-Aligned Movement for the ‘Crossroad of Peace’ initiative and the TRIPP project.

Finally, in October 2026, Armenia will host the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity,” the Deputy Minister announced.
