I Call for Not Succumbing to Provocations and Protecting the Church from Kitrich Nersisyan: Rubinjan

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinjan, has addressed the incidents of targeting various clergy members following the arrests of the leader of the Aragatsotn Diocese and other clergy on his social media page.

"I express my solidarity with all celibate and married priests, deacons, holy persons, and other ministers of the Armenian Apostolic Church, who are being persecuted by Kitrich Nersisyan and other Bolsheviks of his kind, both from within and outside the Church. I call for not succumbing to provocations and for protecting the Church from Kitrich Nersisyan. The insurrectionist must be removed," he wrote.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee provided details on why the clergy members were arrested, publishing photographs.
