Russia Will Ensure Its Interests and Achieve Its Goals: Peskov

Russia is conducting a special military operation in Ukraine due to the absence of alternative options, yet it remains prepared for a peaceful resolution. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, during a press briefing.

“Russia is ready for a peaceful settlement. Currently, Russia continues its special military operation due to the lack of alternatives,” emphasized the Kremlin spokesman, noting that Moscow maintains its openness and willingness for peaceful dialogue.

Commenting on French President Emmanuel Macron's statement, in which he accused Moscow of "militaristic stubbornness" and warned of "repercussions" if it does not "return to the negotiating table," Peskov stated: “In any case, Russia will ensure its interests and achieve its goals,” he assured.
