US State Department Issues Statement on Trump-Pashinyan-Aliyev Meeting
The US State Department is not planning to speculate on the details of a future peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku, nor will it jump ahead of official announcements. This was stated today by Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Pigott during a briefing with reporters.
The journalist posed a question regarding the anticipated trilateral meeting and its potential outcomes, asking for details about the so-called "Zangezur Corridor," the role of the US, as well as Turkey's involvement in the entire process.
“Both the President and Secretary have repeatedly stated that they hope to see a signed agreement soon. The Secretary often mentions this when the opportunity arises. When we have something to announce, we will announce it. I am not planning to speculate or jump ahead of those announcements,” he stated.
Earlier, it was reported that tomorrow, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, will visit the United States. Pashinyan will hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
