Today Is a Historic Day for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the USA, and the World: Trump

Today, President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan will join me at the White House for an official signing ceremony of peace.

“I look forward to welcoming Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan tomorrow at the historic peace summit at the White House. These two nations have fought for years, resulting in thousands of casualties. Many leaders have tried to end the war, but to no avail… My administration has been working closely with both sides for quite some time. Tomorrow, President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan will join me at the White House for the official signing of Peace.

The U.S. will also sign bilateral agreements with both countries to pursue economic opportunities together, allowing us to fully unleash the potential of the South Caucasus.

I am proud of these courageous leaders for making the right decision for the wonderful people of Armenia and Azerbaijan. This will be a historic day for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United States, and the world,” he wrote.

It is worth noting that in Washington, Prime Minister Pashinyan will have a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald J. Trump aimed at deepening the Armenia-U.S. strategic partnership, as well as a trilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald J. Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev focused on promoting peace, prosperity, and economic cooperation in the region.
