OSCE Minsk Group to Close No Later Than December 1
The OSCE welcomes the joint request by Armenia and Azerbaijan to close the OSCE Minsk Group. This was announced during a joint press conference in Yerevan with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan by the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, who is on a working visit to Armenia.
“The current structures of the OSCE Minsk Group will be closed no later than December 1. We hope that this process will be completed not later than December,” said the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
It is noteworthy that on August 8, following a trilateral meeting in Washington between Nikol Pashinyan, Donald Trump, and Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov signed a joint request regarding the closure of the OSCE Minsk Group processes and related structures.
