Karen Karapetyan Under Fire by Authorities: "Hraparak"

According to the newspaper "Hraparak":

“The Civil Contract Party (CKP) has mobilized all its resources to discredit Samvel Karapetyan's ‘Our Way’ movement. The CKP and its representatives are monitoring all activities 24/7, actively interpreting and condemning them.

We have learned that the senior officials of the CKP are discussing the possibility of initiating persecution against former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, as there are reports that he will lead the ‘Our Way’ list as a candidate for prime minister.

This comes after Narék Karapetyan, the coordinator of the movement, announced during an event on Saturday that their candidate for prime minister would be acceptable and approved by all. He noted: ‘We will announce our candidate when we declare our intention to become a political force. We have stated that we will not enter into any pre-election alliance with Robert Kocharian and Serzh Sargsyan, but we haven’t ruled out cooperation or alliance with any representatives of those forces.’”
