Establishment of Armenian-Azerbaijani Peace Will Contribute to Regional Cooperation Development, OSCE President

The establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will contribute to the building of a stable future for the Republic of Armenia and the development of cooperation in the region, said the current OSCE President Elina Valtonen during a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Pashinyan and Valtonen discussed the continuity of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation process and issues pertaining to regional processes. They also talked about the development of relations between Armenia and the European Union.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of Brussels' support in strengthening democracy and promoting reforms, noting that the implementation of EU standards in various sectors is a priority for the Armenian government.

In this context, they addressed the fight against corruption, the development of civil society, and more. The current OSCE President also held a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, announcing their support for the peace established in the region and welcoming the decision by Yerevan and Baku to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group.
