Ukraine Ready to 'Jump and Dance' for EU Membership, Kuleba Says
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has stated that Kyiv is willing to "jump and dance" if necessary to meet the conditions set by the European Union for Ukraine's membership in the bloc. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
"All key recommendations of the Venice Commission have been implemented into Ukrainian legislation. We can jump and dance if additional requirements are needed. But we must play fair. If we are told to do something and we do it, it should be recognized as a result," Kuleba said in Brussels before a meeting of EU foreign ministers, responding to a reporter’s question about why Kyiv is confident that the reforms achieved are sufficient to meet Hungary's demands.
Kuleba also expressed confidence that the EU enlargement process will continue and that Ukraine will be part of the union. However, the question remains whether someone will be able to slow down this process, or if Kyiv will smoothly integrate into it, Kuleba noted.
