Surén Surenyants: I Will Participate in the Upcoming Elections Together with Gagik Tsarukyan's Political Force

The leader of the "Democratic Alternative" party, Surén Surenyants, stated today in an interview with "Azatutyun" that they will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections alongside Gagik Tsarukyan's political force.

Surenyants, who had previously announced his alignment with the Prosperous Armenia Party's President Tsarukyan's 'Proposal for Armenia' program, noted that discussions are currently ongoing regarding the format of their collaboration.

"We will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections as a unified team. Various approaches to the format are currently being discussed, but it is clear that our political forces are heading towards consolidation and becoming a single team in the parliamentary elections," he said.

Surén Surenyants also pointed out that his and Gagik Tsarukyan's groups already have prior experience of collaboration in this manner. In the 2021-26 local self-government elections, the "Democratic Alternative" and Prosperous Armenia Party formed an institutional alliance and participated as coalitions in several communities.
