Turkey's Role in Our Region is Very Significant and Important: Aliyev

The personal friendship between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and myself is well known not only to the regional community but also to the entire world. This was stated today, July 21, by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the occupied city of Shusha.

“This is indeed an important factor for regional development and stability,” Aliyev said during the global media forum held in occupied Shusha.

“Baku and Ankara must stabilize the situation in the South Caucasus, achieve sustainable peace, and ensure security. Turkey's role in global issues, especially in our region, is very significant and important. Turkey's policy is to ensure regional security, stability, and development. This role is highly appreciated both in Azerbaijan and beyond its borders,” Aliyev added.
