Ireland's Team Understands Beating Us is One of Their Last Chances – Yeghishe Melikyan

The head coach of the Armenian national football team, Yeghishe Melikyan, and defender Erik Piloyan addressed reporters at a press conference in Dublin. Defender Erik Piloyan noted that they have already had a successful match against the Ireland national team and will aim to perform even better tomorrow.

Head coach Yeghishe Melikyan emphasized that winning against Ireland in Armenia does not guarantee the same outcome in Ireland. "We have prepared mentally, knowing that it will be very difficult for us here. The Ireland team has lost and understands very well that beating us is one of their last chances," he stated, adding that the game will be 100 percent different.

He underscored that both Armenia and Ireland find themselves in the same situation, as both teams have lost their recent matches. "Both we and our opponents understand that those three points are very important. That is why we will see a real battle tomorrow," Melikyan said.

It is worth noting that the Armenian national team will visit Ireland tomorrow as part of the World Cup qualifying tournament, after having defeated them 2-1 in Yerevan.
