In the case of a normal negotiator, the Washington meeting should have resulted in the return of our compatriots – Ashotyan

The whole world is watching how Israel and Palestine are exchanging hostages and prisoners. This exchange also includes the transfer of remains and relics. This was stated by Armen Ashotyan, the vice president of the Republican Party of Armenia, on his Facebook page.

“How many emotions, stories of human tragedy and heroism lie behind these frames. Since November 9, 2020, we too must have ended our national shame regarding at least this issue. Yet, by the treachery of Nikol, all Azerbaijanis were unilaterally released, in response to which Aliyev once again took Armenians hostage, and then kidnapped the leaders of Artsakh. It has been 2-5 years, and our compatriots are still not with their families and with us. Not to mention the several hundred missing or unidentified young men…”

The ongoing exchange under Trump's sponsorship proves that, with a normal negotiator, at least at the Washington meeting, we could and should have achieved the return of all our compatriots. Instead, for Nikol, these people, these families, these fates hold no value.
