China-US Trade Volume Sharp Decline
Trade between China and the United States has decreased by 15.6 percent year-on-year in the first nine months of 2025, reaching $425.816 billion, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.
Specifically, China's exports have decreased by 16.9 percent to $317.224 billion. The United States imported goods worth $108.591 billion, which is down 11.6 percent compared to the previous year.
In September, trade between the two countries amounted to $45.792 billion. Imports from the United States reached $11.484 billion, while exports to China totaled $34.307 billion.
Moreover, by the end of 2024, trade between the two countries had grown by 3.7 percent to $688.28 billion. Earlier, U.S. President Trump spoke about a new trade conflict with China.
