415 Intoxicated Drivers: Results of the Patrol Service Last Week

From October 6 to 13, during the service conducted in the capital, Yerevan patrol officers identified 5,310 violations of traffic rules and moved 159 vehicles to secured zones. In particular, 198 drivers were found to be intoxicated, and 214 individuals were driving without a driver's license. This information was reported by the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Additionally, violations related to license plates included: 23 for improper registration numbers, 1 for driving with a fake registration number, 1,139 for driving without seatbelts, 11 for not using child safety seats, 579 for smoking while driving, 367 for using a phone while driving, 265 for crossing in non-designated areas, and 1,779 for various other violations. 127 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance contracts, 212 had not undergone technical inspection, 99 had malfunctioning headlights, and 78 had tinted front and side windows. Furthermore, 70 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to Community Policing Departments.

During the same period in the regions, patrols discovered 15,517 traffic violations and moved 265 vehicles to secured zones. 217 drivers were found to be intoxicated, while 498 were driving without a license, and 5 individuals were caught driving with a fake driver's license.

Violations related to license plates included: 53 for improper registration numbers, 4,057 for driving without seatbelts, 187 for not using child safety seats, 508 for smoking while driving, 685 for using a phone while driving, 119 for crossing in non-designated areas, 2,738 for speeding, and 3,872 for other violations. 449 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance contracts, 1,053 had not undergone technical inspection, and 864 had malfunctioning headlights, including 40 trucks, and 142 had tinted front and side windows. In addition, 37 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to territorial departments of Community Policing.
