Victory Celebrants Fined in Parakar: 'Hraparak'
On Sunday, the authorities in Parakar suffered a defeat. The Unity alliance, with the candidacy of Volodya Grigoryan, received 57% of the votes.
After midnight, hundreds of citizens gathered at Volodya Grigoryan's campaign headquarters in Mezhavan to celebrate his victory. There were hugs, joy, chants, as well as fireworks, marking the hard-earned victory.
This information was reported by 'Hraparak'. According to the newspaper, patrol officers arrived just after midnight and fined Grigoryan's supporters for organizing the fireworks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed: 'Today, at approximately 00:30, a record of an administrative violation was drawn up by officers of the Community Police of the Vagharschapat division for organizing fireworks in the settlement of Mezhavan, as per Article 180, Part 2 of the Administrative Offenses Code.'
When asked specifically who was fined, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that they do not disclose names.
The article under which the person who organized the fireworks was fined states: 'Using pyrotechnic products at night (except in cases provided by legislation) will result in a fine equal to one hundred times the minimum wage.'
