Vandalism at Kiranzi Monastery
Vandalism has been reported at the Kiranzi Monastery in the Tavush region of Armenia. This information has been shared by the State Service for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments.
The Service received a report a few days ago regarding repeated acts of vandalism in monument areas, and with the efforts of Tavush employees, inscriptions on the walls of Kiranzi Monastery have been cleaned this time.
"They meticulously removed some of the writings. However, some remain because the paints are quite durable, and there is a risk of damaging the monastery's walls if cleaned too deeply," the statement reads.
The State Service for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments once again urges the public to refrain from actions that disrupt the appearance and safety of monuments.
