US Senate Increases Military Aid to Ukraine

The US Senate has approved its version of the defense budget bill for the year 2026. A total of 77 senators voted in favor while 20 opposed it, according to CNN.

The bill extends the initiative to provide military and security aid to Ukraine until 2028. Senators have determined that Kyiv will receive $500 million for these purposes in 2026. Earlier, the House of Representatives had approved a funding amount of $400 million for Ukraine.
