Trump Gives Personal Assurance That Israel Will Not Resume Military Operations

US President Donald Trump has given a personal assurance that Israel will not resume military operations in the Gaza Strip following a deal with the radical Palestinian Hamas movement. This was reported by Axios.

“As negotiations for the Gaza peace agreement approached their conclusion, President Trump provided a personal guarantee that he would not allow Israel to depart from it and resume the war,” the publication reported.

Officials speaking to journalists noted that Trump’s assurance included the establishment of a US-led military task force that would be tasked with monitoring the ceasefire regime and responding to any violations.
