Language Clash During Court Hearing: Arthur Sargsyan Provoked by 'Mr. Galstyan' Address

During a court hearing, tensions flared between MP Arthur Sargsyan and public prosecutors. Sargsyan was particularly agitated by the way Prosecutor Hayk Hovhannisyan addressed Bishop Bagrat as 'Mr. Galstyan.'

“As a detainee and accused in this case, I urge you, as this is something you should have done, but I see you haven’t. While it is normal for you to impose pre-trial detention, the justice that should be implemented here is not being fulfilled. I must say, we know both justice and honor, and we understand what it means to maintain our dignity. So, prosecutors, it’s disgraceful that you even lack the honor to address Bishop Bagrat properly,” Sargsyan stated, sparking a verbal clash between him and the prosecutors.

Judge Karen Farukhoyan announced a break, as participants in the trial began to chant “shame” at the prosecutors.
