Earthquake in Turkey

A 4.9 magnitude earthquake has struck the Simav district of Kütahya province in Turkey, according to reports citing the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 12.1 kilometers, with its epicenter located near the village of Maden.

The tremors were felt in several provinces including Istanbul, Bursa, Balıkesir, Denizli, Eskişehir, and İzmir. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries, although there has been some material damage.
