Aghvan Arshakyan to Continue House Arrest
Aghvan Arshakyan, who is involved in the "Holy Struggle" case, will continue to remain under house arrest. Judge Karen Farkhoyan rejected the motion presented by the public prosecutor to apply detention as a preventive measure against Arshakyan again.
“This motion is so inhumane that they could have simply stated in the final part, 'prohibit communication with healthcare workers.' What do you want, dear prosecutors, to let this person die a cold death?” said defense attorney Hovhannes Khudoyan.
On August 8, the court replaced Aghvan Arshakyan’s prison detention with house arrest, taking into account his health condition. Arshakyan has undergone surgery related to cancer, has gone through chemotherapy, and has experienced an improvement in his health. After this, he must undergo mandatory examinations regularly and remain under the supervision of doctors.
