Gyumri City Hall Issues Statement
Gyumri City Hall has received a report that residents of apartment 109 at 13 Paruyr Sevak Street in the Ani neighborhood, Albert Lori Martirosyan and associated individuals, have closed the entrance on the first floor of the building, using it for their own purposes. This information comes from the Gyumri City Hall.
“The building entrance, which is a public space and should serve all residents of the building, has been seized by the family of MP Emma Palyan. In other words, the MP, who often speaks about laws and legality and does not hesitate to use unacceptable language in her discourse, seems to target Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan and the Shirak Diocese leader, Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, due to their dissenting views and political positions, effectively committing an unlawful act. This woman, working in the legislative body of the Republic of Armenia, whose husband was her assistant, is a member of parliament who does not adhere to the law or follow the instructions of her superior, the country's Prime Minister.
According to information received from residents, the unlawfully seized area is being utilized as a bedroom for Emma Palyan and her family's members. In fact, the MP has taken over the public space of the Gyumri 13 Paruyr Sevak building.
In response to this incident, the self-regulating construction and land management department of Gyumri City Hall has drawn up a protocol stating that an administrative violation was committed by Albert Martirosyan. The acting head of the legal department of Gyumri City Hall, Hrach Vardanyan, clarified that if the entrance to the building is not voluntarily reopened and the previous status restored within a 15-day period, the city hall is required to act within the framework of the law,” the statement reads.
