The President of the United States, Donald Trump, will not be calling Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday. This was announced by Putin's assistant, Ushakov.

According to Ushakov, the head of state began receiving congratulations from foreign counterparts at 14:00 (although some called earlier, such as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu who called a day prior). The schedule for the calls was pre-planned, but the U.S. President is not included in it.
