Parakar Has a New Mayor

Onik Akhverdyan has been elected the head of the Parakar community. It is noteworthy that the Parakar consolidated community council is holding a meeting today, October 7, to select a new community leader.

At the beginning of the session, attendees observed a moment of silence in memory of the slain mayor, Valodia Grigoryan.

Following the assassination of Mayor Valodia Grigoryan, the council is required to elect a new mayor from its ranks. Grigoryan was elected by the "Unity" alliance, and since this faction holds a majority in the council, the candidate proposed by this group has the highest likelihood of becoming the new mayor.
