No Military Guarantees: Rubio
The United States has not provided military guarantees to Ukraine within the framework of the rare metals agreement. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. "There are no military guarantees," Rubio said in response to a question during a House of Representatives hearing.
Rubio emphasized that Washington retains the option to impose devastating sanctions on Russia, but instead seeks to achieve peace in Ukraine through diplomatic means. "Donald Trump has made it clear that he has options to tighten sanctions against Russia if needed. He would prefer the parties to agree to a peace treaty, but if that does not work, he is well aware of the catastrophic sanction possibilities," he stated.
