Even Our Cossack Horses Would Perform His Duties Better: Medvedev on Macron
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, has harshly criticized French President Emmanuel Macron on the social media platform X following the resignation of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
“A record. The French government lasted 14 hours. Because France has no president. Only the brilliant defender of Kyiv, the friend of Germany and Great Britain, the conversational arbiter of Africa. But Macron doesn’t care about France. Even our Cossack horses, entering Paris in 1814, would perform his duties better…” he wrote.
Previously, Lecornu had the shortest tenure of any French prime minister, lasting only 27 days. Lecornu lasted the longest without a government (26 days). His government is the shortest-lived as Lecornu resigned just twelve hours after appointing his governmental team. He is also the only French prime minister who has not even issued a general political statement.
