Washington and Moscow Will Continue Hard Competition in All Directions. What Should We Do? International Expert
International expert Suren Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Washington and Moscow will continue to compete hard in all directions. What should we do?
Biden's foreign policy has not only been outlined but is actively being implemented. Naturally, we are interested in the future of US-Russia relations, as it will have both direct and indirect impacts on us.
There are officials in Biden's team who hold extremely firm positions towards Russia. This means new pressures, sanctions, and competition. Biden's foreign policy is set to be tougher, more active, and proactive.
There are almost no areas for cooperation with Moscow. Washington does not accept the concept of 'spheres of influence.' It will compete with Russia (and China) everywhere, including our region and our country.
Our situation is going to be quite complicated. The only solution to the situation will be pragmatism, cold calculations, and a clear position based on the realities.
Pragmatic and principled foreign policy, flexible diplomacy. These do not contradict each other; they complement one another. This is the only formula against this and other challenges.”
