Amount Fined for Conducting a 'Gender Party' at Shaki Waterfall
The organizers of the 'gender party' held at Shaki Waterfall have been fined 80,000 drams. This was reported to the media by the spokesperson for the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, Naira Aghababyan.
“The citizen has been held administratively responsible for violating the regime of a specially protected natural area, which amounts to 80,000 drams,” she stated.
It is noted that on October 5, a resident of Sisian, A.O., conducted a 'gender party' at Shaki Waterfall, using a food additive dye to color the waterfall.
Later, it became known that an administrative proceeding has been initiated by the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, the person who colored the Shaki Waterfall has been identified and held administratively liable for violating the regime of a specially protected natural area.
The Ministry of Environment of Armenia has reported that as part of the initiated administrative proceedings, water samples have been taken for laboratory testing. If there is a change in water quality, the damage caused to water resources will be calculated.
