Gegharkunik Cemetery Witnesses Investigative Actions Following the Confession of Gevorg Harutyunyan

Law enforcement officials brought Gevorg Harutyunyan, who confessed to the murders of Valodya Grigoryan and Karen Abrahamyan, to the Gegharkunik Cemetery with a large police presence, journalist Lia Sargsyan reports.

"Secret investigative actions were carried out for about an hour. There are suspicions that Gevorg Harutyunyan is hiding something related to the murders of September 23. There are strong grounds to believe that the murder of Valodya Grigoryan was premeditated, in which the mayor affiliated with the ruling party, Mher Akhtoyan, was directly involved. He left Armenia 10 days before the incident, and according to reports, Harutyunyan saw him off at the airport," the journalist informs.

It should be recalled that on September 23, at 23:52, the National Police received a call about gunshots heard on the Yerevan Highway in the town of Gegharkunik. Valodya Grigoryan and Karen Abrahamyan, an officer of the Criminal Police present at the scene, were killed. Currently, Gevorg Harutyunyan and Narek Ohanyan, accused of aiding the murders, are in custody.
