Voting in Georgia's Local Self-Government Elections Concluded
Mariam Z.
Voting in Georgia's local self-government elections has concluded, and the process of counting votes has begun at the polling stations. The polling stations opened as scheduled at 8:00 AM and closed at 8:00 PM.
In general, the voting process proceeded smoothly, with the exception of minor incidents at polling stations. Throughout the day, the coalition of the 'Gakharia for Georgia', 'Strong Georgia - Lelo', and the ruling 'Georgian Dream' parties largely accused each other of electoral violations. The parties filed several complaints with the electoral commissions, which primarily related to technical issues and minor violations.
