We Are Waiting for Effective Steps from the Turkish Side: MP

MP Sargis Khandanian from the Prosperous Armenia party insists that the entry of Turkish Airlines into the Armenian market has always been discussed. “But due to political reasons, the airline has never entered Armenia,” he stated during a press briefing at the National Assembly today.

According to Khandanian, the recent meeting between special envoys of Armenia and Turkey addressed the need to enhance cooperation in the field of air transport. “We see that Turkish Airlines has announced that it will start flights to Yerevan. I don’t know when this will happen, but it is something that will take place soon,” Khandanian said.

He is confident that there are no obstacles to the full normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey. “We are waiting for effective steps from the Turkish side,” emphasized the MP from the ruling party.
