Putin Compares Losses of Russia and Ukraine

Russian losses are significantly lower than those of the Ukrainian armed forces, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin during a session of the Valdai International Discussion Club, as reported by RIA Novosti.

He added that, unfortunately, the Russian side has also suffered losses. Putin also announced that the Ukrainian army has lost approximately 45,000 soldiers in the past month.

He explained the difference between the Russian and Ukrainian armies, stating that citizens voluntarily join the Russian armed forces, whereas those in Ukraine are being conscripted through obligatory mobilization. Thus, Kyiv is merely sending people to slaughter.
