Germany's Defense Minister Requests Additional 3.8 Billion Euros for Ukraine

The German Ministry of Defense has requested an additional 3.8 billion euros from the government to assist Ukraine, as reported by Bild newspaper, citing its sources.
According to Bild, the ministry led by Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has indicated the need for this extra financial assistance to Ukraine during the current fiscal year.
The request for additional aid will be presented to the parliament for approval in June. According to the publication, next year the Bundeswehr may raise the issue of providing a record 15 billion euros in aid to Ukraine.
