Azerbaijan's Continuous Precondition: Change in Armenia's Constitution, Says Khandanyan
The representative of the Civil Contract Party, Sargis Khandanyan, asserts that peace is a fact, as the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed and preliminary signed the peace treaty. However, according to Khandanyan, peace is a process and cannot be summed up by a single event.
“There are actions that need to be taken, including the final signing and ratification of the peace treaty,” he stated during a briefing in the National Assembly.
Khandanyan emphasized that Azerbaijan's continuous precondition is a change in the Republic of Armenia's constitution. “Peace cannot remain a fact; it needs to be continuously nourished through negotiations,” he added.
