Georgia Comments on Decision to Recall Ukrainian Ambassador

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, has commented on the decision of Ukraine's newly appointed Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha to recall the acting chargé d'affaires of Ukraine in Georgia, Mykhailo Kharishin, as reported by ekhokavkaza.com.

Sybiha explained his decision by stating that Kharishin "absolutely does not understand the realities of the diplomacy of a warring state." Now, Garibashvili insists that the decision is actually linked to the purchase of household appliances.

“According to our information, this is not a political act. The specific representative, who, if I'm not mistaken, also has diplomatic status, has acquired household items. This was deemed inadequate in light of the ongoing war and became the reason for his recall. This is our information... The issue concerns washing machines,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia.

It is worth reminding that earlier reports indicated that Kyiv had recalled its ambassador from Georgia.
