Signing a Peace Document When There Is No Agreement: Khachatryan
Signing a peace document occurs when there is no consensus on fundamental principles, stated Arthur Khachatryan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, during a press conference.
He recalled the years 2018-2020 when Prime Minister Pashinyan misled the public while negotiating over the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, claiming that those were not negotiations but meetings.
“What now? He signs a document that has various interpretations; Aliyev understands one thing, and he understands another. Trump spoke of something else. Why did they rush to sign this document and announce to the world that there is peace in our country? This is not peace as long as Azerbaijan has occupied a part of the territory of the Republic of Armenia. And then, what peace is there when Azerbaijan continually makes demands towards Armenia, issues threats, and insults us?”
