Information Campaign Against Armenia: Nazeli Baghdasaryan on Sargsyan
According to Nazeli Baghdasaryan, a member of the Political Council of the Civil Contract party and press secretary of the Prime Minister of Armenia, a classic scenario of hybrid warfare has been launched against Armenia in the form of an information assault ahead of November 9.
“A classic scenario of hybrid warfare was activated against Armenia in a systematic, multi-dimensional information assault ahead of November 9. During these days, when the Azerbaijani side is active in the information space, the goal is obvious: when a ‘golden child’ formed in greenhouses with foreign capital joins this campaign, it is clear that it serves as a mouthpiece, repeating the text that has been given to it. However, when the former leader of Armenia makes statements that do not align with reality and are illogical, numerous questions arise,” she stated.
Baghdasaryan pointed out that the thoughts expressed by Sargsyan do not represent political analysis but rather a repetition of old and worn-out theses. “These claims have been repeatedly refuted in a reasoned manner, given the volumes of armament from 2018–2020, the processes of military transformation, and the systemic reforms implemented in the defense sector. Yes, in two and a half years it was not possible to completely fill a thirty-year gap, but Sargsyan is once again attempting to talk about the state and the army, casting the shadow of his years of inaction onto others,” she emphasized.
She further noted that openly speaking against Armenia the day before is either a shortsighted move or a service to a foreign agenda, and “there is simply no third option.”
