Negotiations Between Russia and Ukraine Cannot Be Organized Now, Says Peskov
Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine at a high level cannot be organized now, as Kyiv has suspended negotiations, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
Peskov referred to the European Commission's plans to transfer 2 billion euros to Ukraine as theft, utilizing frozen Russian assets. The Kremlin spokesman also remarked on the responsibility and criminal prosecution of individuals and countries involved in the appropriation of frozen Russian assets in the West.
The European Commission's plan to transfer 2 billion euros of frozen Russian assets to Kyiv aims to undermine confidence in the principle of property inviolability. He added, “It is foolish to blame Russia for the shelling of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant under its control.”
