White House Unveils 21-Point Plan for Resolving Situation in Gaza Strip

The White House has released a 21-point plan aimed at resolving the situation in the Gaza Strip, which includes the establishment of a temporary international administration. The document, developed by President Donald Trump's administration with the involvement of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, outlines key provisions:

  • Immediate ceasefire and the release of all remaining hostages.
  • Gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
  • Demilitarization of Gaza and disarmament of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
  • Creation of a temporary international administration known as the Gaza International Transitional Authority (GITA), potentially led by Tony Blair.
  • Restoration of Gaza's infrastructure within five years, with the participation of international and Arab partners.

The plan envisions the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state in the future, a proposal that is contentious among Israeli leaders. It also includes the establishment of an international stabilization entity to oversee security in Gaza and provide oversight for the Palestinian police.

If Hamas refuses to comply with the plan's conditions, its implementation will continue in areas free from Hamas activities.

The proposal was introduced by President Trump to Arab and Muslim nations during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
