We Will Try to Further Encourage the Increase of Electric Vehicles: Avinyan

The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has addressed the city's initiative to acquire new electric buses aimed at modernizing the capital's transport fleet. He noted that this initiative not only resolves the issue of updating and augmenting the fleet but also ensures that electric buses have zero impact on air quality.

“We have a logic in place that we will try to further encourage the increase of electric vehicles and electric transport in the city by replacing vehicles with internal combustion engines,” Avinyan stated.

The Mayor reminded that during the winter months, Yerevan faces air quality issues, one of the causes of which is the vehicles on the roads.
