Pashinyan and Guterres Emphasize the Importance of the Preliminary Signing of the Peace Agreement
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres in New York. The two discussed the significance of the preliminary signing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 in Washington, expressing confidence that it will contribute to stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
They also addressed the organization of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, scheduled to be held in Armenia from October 18 to 30, 2026, and discussed cooperation related to this event. Additionally, they exchanged views on other mutually interesting topics.
