Lavrov Compares Crimea and Donbas to Africa
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov compared Crimea and Donbas to Africa during a speech at the UN General Assembly. He stated that Russia has "no intention and has never had the intention to attack NATO and the EU."
Lavrov added that NATO's aggression against Russia would be "decisively rejected." He accused Kyiv of engaging in a "colonial behavior," likening the suffering of residents in Crimea and Donbas since 2014 to that of peoples in Africa and Asia.
“Since 2014, the residents of Crimea and Donbas have suffered under the oppression of colonizers, like the peoples of Africa and Asia, in accordance with one of the principles of the US Declaration of Independence from 1776,” Lavrov said.
