Iran's President Rejects US Offer to Hand Over Enriched Uranium
The United States has proposed a three-month postponement of the restoration of UN Security Council sanctions against Iran, but in return, demanded the transfer of all enriched uranium. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced this, stating that such a condition is absolutely unacceptable.
“The Americans want us to hand over all our enriched uranium, and in return, they will only give us three months. This is unacceptable for us,” said Pezeshkian.
According to him, it is possible that in a few months, Washington will try to apply the snapback mechanism again, which involves restoring UN sanctions against Iran and imposing new demands.
“If we have to choose between accepting unacceptable conditions or resisting the snapback, it is better to choose the latter,” the Iranian president emphasized.
