Iran Withdraws Ambassadors from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom
Iran has recalled its ambassadors from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom for consultations in Tehran.
According to Mehr, this move comes after the three European nations attempted to invoke the snapback mechanism to restore previously lifted UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in a Security Council address that the initiatives from the UK, France, and Germany are void and lack legal standing. He added that these actions are viewed as irresponsible and contradict the spirit of the 2015 nuclear agreement.
Earlier, following a vote at the Security Council, Araghchi emphasized that attempts to reinstate sanctions against Iran are bound to fail, as they are not based on legal grounds.
